IPhone 11 is now made in India

Internet Desk : Leading mobile company Apple has started manufacturing its iPhone 11 model in India. Its production started at the Foxconn plant in Chennai. Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal made the revelation. He said it was a boon for manufacturing in India.


The first SE model of the iPhone was manufactured at its Bangalore plant. Also launched the assembly of iPhone XR model in 2019. Recently started making iPhone ‌11. It seems that the iPhone SE 2020 will also be manufactured at the Western plant in Bangalore soon. Apple's move toward manufacturing in India comes in the wake of the US-China trade war.

Foxconn and Pegtron, which make iPhones, are preparing to invest heavily in manufacturing in India. Already, foreign companies like Samsung and Xiaomi are giving priority to manufacturing in the country. Apple is also moving in the same direction. On the other hand, if the iPhone 11 is made locally, the company will not have to pay 20 per cent import duty.
