Do you know this thing about Gavaskar

Team India batting legend Sunil Gavaskar is a great player. He set many records with his batting and made a name for himself in Test cricket. The former captain, who has left an indelible mark on Indian cricket for over a decade, has also bowled on several occasions. The present generation may not know that much but the older generation will remember them. Sunny took just one wicket in Tests and ODIs with his bowling. That too was bowled twice by Pakistan batsman Zaheer Abbas.

Another feature of Gavaskar's bowling is that he is capable of medium pace as well as off spin. He bowled with his right hand and gave 380 runs in a total of 29 innings. He first bowled under the captaincy of Bishansingh Bedi during the 1978-79 tour of Pakistan. In a Test match, Zaheer Abbas (96) was caught by Chetan Chauhan in the sunny bowling. In the ODIs, the same batsman once again submitted the wicket to Sunny. Gavaskar played a total of 125 Tests and scored 10,122 runs. There are 34 centuries in it. He became the first cricketer to complete tens of thousands of runs in this format.
